About
Welcome! Call me Jack. I'm currently a PhD student in Physics at UC Santa Cruz working with Tesla Jeltema .
The bulk of my work focuses on using strong gravitational lensing in galaxy clusters to learn about dark matter. If you'd like to learn about it, hit the research tab on the left.
I grew up in the great city of Chicago and attended undergrad at the University of Chicago. I took a gap year working at Fermilab , and then in France at CEA Saclay . Now I'm slowly becoming a Californian, but make sure to remind everyone I'm from the midwest every chance I get.
I enjoy biking, reading, birdwatching, and lately, a lot of photography. You can see some of my photos, and maybe writings about it, at the Photography tab on the left.
